Waiting for the first approval notice for my husband's I-130, which is very late...what can/should I do?

They had announced on their website that they had a surge of application/petitions from 2007 to process. It is very frustrating to deal with. I am waiting for my I-29F to be processed, but it hasn't been 6 months as yet. I think you should have filed the I-29F for a K-3 visa and he could wait in the US until his I-130 is processed. I'm using the same form but different visa type. I'm trying to get my fiance' to the US. He will come up on a K-1 visa. Hope it works out soon for you. You may also want to call and bug them.
