Do rabbits make good pets ?

My Mom always complained that her neighbors had rabbits when she was little. Appearently she picked one up and it immediatly peed on her. You have to clean their cage a lot or it smells really bad. "i have a hunin dog" does that mean you have a dog of some sort? I know dogs love trying to catch and eat rabbits. But, if you clean a rabbit's cage and try not to scare it into peeing on you, it's a pretty easy to take care of pet that just sits in one spot most of the time. Unless you open the cage, then appearently some will try to run away.
