A survey for all the NRA members?

I recently joined the NRA and my father (a staunch liberal) attacked me with stereotypes of NRA members being redneck conservatives. I live in NY and an a moderate republican by the way. I was wondering if all the NRA members here could tell me their political party affiliation and the region of the country they live in.
